What I did last season was just grab ten random books that sounded good - but then I decided to do my best to read them all before fall started. (Update on how that went in a couple of days.) This time around, I really put a lot of thought into what books I would want to read the most, even if they didn't come up in my TBR jar.

I've been wanting to read this book almost since I first heard about it.
Four decades of peace have done little to ease the mistrust between humans and dragons in the kingdom of Goredd. I liked her historical Shadowhunters series enough to want to give this one a try - even though contemporary isn't really my thing.

I need to finish this series and I've been holding off on reading this until the weather gets a bit cooler. (I picture this being a November read.)

I really want to continue this series and, after this book, I'll feel comfortable enough to binge buy at least books three and four - if it's good.

Passed on this book at first, but all the great things I've heard about the girl has convinced me to give it a go.
